Third Round – World Golf Championships –WGC-Bridgestone Invitational –Firestone Country Club – Akron, Ohio –
Spain’s Sergio Garcia began and ended the third round with a three-shot lead at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Garcia (14-under overall) entered the week as a 25-to-1 betting selection at www.ladbrokes.com heading into Firestone Country Club in Akron. He managed a 3-under-67 – waiting a few hours through a long weather delay late in the round.
Open champion Rory McIlroy is alone in second at 8-under and just three back with 18 holes to play. A streaky player, McIlroy continues to ride a hot driver.
Marc Leishman, at 9-under, sits third, while Adam Scott, Keegan Bradley and Justin Rose are T-4 at 8-under. Both Scott and Keegan are past champions here, but will need rounds in the low 60s Sunday and help to claim victory. Rose shot even-par Saturday failing to make a move at Garcia.
Scott and Hideki Matsuyama carded the rounds of the day with 65s. Defending champion Tiger Woods struggled much of the round hitting just 2 of the first 10 Greens In Regulation before settling for a 1-over-72. He is

Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington are playing together in the opening round. The trio – with 22 combined major championship victories – tees off at 9:35 a.m. local time off the 10th hole.
