Gomez, Sneds move up in world rankings

Fabian Gomez’s playoff victory at the Sony Open jumped him to No. 55 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings.

Gomez used a final-round 62 to post a number and then outlasted 54-hole leader Brandt Snedeker on the second playoff hole to cap his second PGA Tour title. He won the FedEx St. Jude Classic last season.

The Top 4 in the world remained unchanged: Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Bubba Watson. Spieth and Rory tee it up this week at the European Tour’s Abu eurotourlogoDhabi HSBC Golf Championship in the United Arab Emirates.
