Hadley wins Tour Championship, 50 earn PGA Tour cards

Chasson Hadley capped off a great week of golf winning the TOUR Championship and securing his place on the PGA Tour beginning in two weeks.

The 26-year-old finished 10-under overall at TPC Sawgrass for a two-shot victory. He was one of 50 players to secure a PGA Tour card for the 2013-2014 wrap-around season. Other high-profile gems to earn cards include former Masters champion Trevor Immelman (the 39-year-old won the Hotel Fitness Championship in the Tour Finals playoffs), Ryo Ishikawa, Danny Lee, Sean O’Hair, Bud Cauley and Ricky Barnes.

John Peterson won the most money in the playoffs — finishing in the Top 5 for each of the four playoff tournaments.

The PGA Tour season begins with the Open in two weeks in California. The event is one of six tournaments to close out 2013 — all feature FedEx Cup points and invitations to the 2014 Masters Tournament.
