Final Round – LPGA Tour – Honda LPGA Thailand – Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course – Chonburi, Thailand –
Anna Nordqvist capped off a wire-to-wire victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand with a final-round 4-under-68 featured seven birdies.
The former Arizona State University player, now in her 5th year as a professional, finished 15-under overall two clear of a charging Inbee Park, who shot 67-66 on the weekend.
Nordqvist hit 50 of 56 Fairways In Regulation for the week at Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course. It marked her third career LPGA Tour triumph. She moves to third in the tour’s Race to CME Globe standings.
Park, making her 2014 debut, was solo second while Catriona Matthew rallied for a 65-65 on the weekend to end up third at 11-under. She opened with 76 Thursday.
Michelle Wie was alone in fourth place at 10-under, while a host of high-profile players logged a T-5 week including Stacy Lewis, Yani Tseng and Lexi Thompson.
Suzann Pettersen finished 10th at 8-under.
Lydia Ko’s run of Top 10s ended here with a 74 in the final round. She slipped from T-5 to T-19. After T-3 finishes in each of the first two events in 2014, Paula Creamer was T-30 this week as she failed to recover from a second-round 77.

- Nordqvist, 27th in the Rolex Rankings heading into this week, finished with 12 Top 10s a year ago on the LPGA Tour. She was 26 of 26 in cuts made and ended up 20th on the Money List.
- Lewis now has Top 10s in each of her three starts in 2014 – runner-up in the Bahamas and T-6 in Australia.
- The LPGA Tour moves to Singapore for next week’s HSBC Women’s Champions before heading to America for the LPGA Founders Cup in Phoenix.
