With birdies on the final two holes at Durban Country Club, Louis Oosthuizen defended his title at the European Tour’s Volvo Golf Champions in South Africa.
Oosthuizen (12-under overall) edged fellow South African Branden Grace by a shot Sunday to win his seventh career European Tour title. He carded a 68 in the final round bouncing back from his third-round struggles.
Overnight leader Tommy Fleetwood, 22, shot 72 to slip back. He finished T-3 alongside Joost Luiten. Three-time major champion Padraig Harrington rallied with a 5-under-67 Sunday to end up T-5. He was fourth here a year ago.
Oosthuizen, a former Open Championship victor, struggled last season with injuries starting just 15 tournaments and making 10 cuts. He ended up 47th on the Money List.
