Overnight leader Steele has company at Travelers Championship

Second Round Update – PGA Tour – Travelers Championship –TPC River Highlands – Cromwell, Connecticut –

South Korea’s K.J. Choi is making an early move Friday in round two of the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship.

Choi is 3-under through five holes and now tied for the lead at 8-under alongside Scott Langley and overnight leader Brendan Steele, who has yet to tee off in the second round at TPC River Highlands.

Steele carded a 9-under-62 in his opening round. The 150-to-1 long shot betting selection at www.ladbrokes.com was bogey-free on his round. He finished 82nd on the money list a season ago making 17 of 26 cuts.

Ryan Moore’s opening-round 63 has him in the mix in Connecticut. The former UNLV golfer has three Top 4s in eight starts at this venue. He is 7-under alongside Bud Cauley.

Also playing well through 18 holes is Matt Kuchar, Dustin Johnson and Harris English. All are 4-under after shooting 66s Thursday.
