Rain delays suspend play, crowded leaderboard at Trump Doral

First Round Update — WGC-Cadillac Championship — Trump National Doral — Doral, Florida — 

Rain delayed a part of Thursday’s opening round at the WGC-Cadillac Championship near Miami with Harris English as the clubhouse leader at 3-under-69.

A host of players are 3-under before play was suspended due to darkness. A thunderstorm delayed play for about two hours at Trump National Doral.

Jason Dufner is 3-under through 16 holes along with Hunter Mahan, Patrick Reed, and Francisco Molinari. Former major champions — Adam Scott, Louis Oosthuizen and Chrl Schwartzel — are T-4 at 2-under alongside Matt Kuchar and Dustin Johnson.

English leads the PGA Tour in Top 10s this season with six and sits third in the FedEx Cup Standings.

Tiger Woods, a four-time champ at this event, is 2-over and T-47 at the moment.
